Get to know a little about the team that makes it happen:

Veris Van

Board Chair

Veris Van founded Bless’It Beauty Salon, NFP in 2013 and is the Executive Director, Stylist and Master Educator for Bless'It Beauty Salon, NFP. Veris was born in Springfield, IL with a gift of loving and serving people and a passion for styling hair. God combined her gifts and passions together and her purpose was born. Veris Van has been a licensed Stylist, Nail Tech, and Esthetician since 2007 and a licensed Master Educator since 2017. In 2022, Veris graduated from Colorado Christian University with a degree in nonprofit management. She is committed to bridging the gap between multicultural homes, self-love, self-worth, and self-esteem. Veris says that “we as stylists have the opportunity to make a big impact on individuals’ lives. Our clients trust us and rely on our positive guidance.” Veris totally whole-heartedly believes in Bless’It Beauty Salon, NFP’s mission, our outer-self reflects how we feel about our inner-self. Together we can bridge the gap.

Adalia Van

Licensed Stylist

Adalia Van is a stylist at Bless'It Beauty Salon, NFP and has been a licensed stylist since 2017. Adalia started her career in the hair industry at the age of 15 years old. She began as a shampoo girl/assistant, and she fell in love with hair and the transformation people experience physically and emotionally as they are gaining more confidence in their inner and outer selves. Adalia says “I personally know how detrimental it can be for someone to have low self-confidence or a lack there of. I have always had a heart for children and people with broken spirits and once I became a licensed cosmetologist, I felt like now I can actually make a big difference. With God, I plan to spend my time loving on each client as I use my talent in my hands to fulfill the plan and purpose God has made me for.”

Fredrick Van

Licensed Barber

Fredrick Van also known as “Fredo the Barber”, or “Freddy” has been a licensed barber since 2017 . He is the owner of Bless’It Kutz” barbershop and works hand in hand with Bless’It Beauty Salon, NFP. Freddy was born and raised in Springfield, IL. Fred noticed that God blessed him with intimate, individual time with each and every client that he has had the opportunity to cut their hair. God showed him that prayer is needed for each and every client, whether he knows or doesn’t know what they were going through and whether they know or don't know that he was actively praying for them. Fred believes it doesn't matter how old or how small you are, just know that when you walk through the doors of Bless'It Beauty Salon, NFP or Bless’It Kutz you are being prayed for and you will leave out of there feeling like a totally different person. Freddy not only provides individuals with a wonderful, and relaxing service but he also makes sure that he blesses and brightens their day with an existing prayer.

Sister to Sister Connection

Bond With Your Sisters. Sister to Sister Connection is a mentoring group of young woman of all races, and background, that come together to share their stories and bond with each other. Most find out that they are not that different from others and that they are unique in a great way.

Building YOUR Best You!

“Building YOUR Best You!” was developed to help individuals enhance the power of who they are. This is “SELF CARE” builder workshop. Individuals are encouraged to start building, rebuilding and/or increase their wellbeing from the inside out.

Jr. Stylist Acedemy

Jr. Stylist Academy is a group workshop hosted for anyone age 10 years old to 17 years of age, who have an interest in becoming a future hair stylist. Jr. Stylist Academy’s workshop is hosted for four weeks. We cover hair control, haircare, hair manipulation and cosmetology technics. This workshop is hosted for any race or gender. Basic stylist care kit is provided per Jr. Stylist. Family and Group Connections.

One on One Connections

One on One connections is a one on one workshop. (Educator and Client) This is a hair, skin or nail care workshop. We instruct and equip individuals with the product, support and tools to preform an inquired service such as haircare, braiding, protection styles, proper skin care and make up application, healthy nail care, etc. This support is one on one from start to finish. (Clients Hands Only)

Self-First

Self-First is a program developed to help individuals be aware and make their best first, second and third impressions. Within the first three seconds someone has already developed an opinion of you based on your outer ward appearance.

Family and Group Connections

Family and Group Connections is a unique opportunity for friends, families, individuals, and the foster community to come together and bond, relate, share, and learn new skills and techniques to build strong family and social connections, while bridging social gaps. Because of YOU we are connecting families through hair, nails, and skin care! These workshops are used largely in the foster care community.
